Hey hey, Mu Friends!  Happy New Year!!   I hope you all got some quality family time and “rejuvenation” in during the holidays. Our time together in Texas is coming up QUICKLY!!!

Logistics and deadlines:   Our final session – Capstone and graduation! – will be held in Austin, Texas at the HOTEL MAGDALENA.  It’s a boutique hotel beautifully located in the South Congress neighborhood, where you’ll get to experience plenty of “Keep Austin Weird-ness” (when you’re not working on your presentations!)  Proximate to Zilker Park and LadyBird Lake – we’ll hope the weather is friendly for runners and walkers to get out and explore!

Our session will start with lunch on Weds 2/7.  (If flights are friendly to you, arrival this morning is possible –  hotel is about 20 mins from airport.).  You’ll have time on the afternoon of the 7th to do a full ‘dry run’ rehearsal of your verbal presentation (20 mins) – getting feedback from your peers, and you can pull an all-nighter that night to put your finishing touches on, if you want to feel like you’re really having the authentic college experience. (HA!)  — presentations to the “Shark Tank” (our judges) will be held on the afternoon of Thursday Feb 8th — and we’ll have a graduation dinner celebration that night. Final education sessions will be held on the morning of Friday 9th, ending by noon – and you’ll be able to catch flights out as early as 2pm.

BOOK YOUR ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE DATES HERE:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rNnEOXoqP_A5MjQt7VOdqSGKY606pqLmn0l1vbqhaOU/edit?usp=sharing

AS A REMINDER, you should be starting to work on your written summary. Those (and your one page plan) will be due in .pdf form by close of business on January 31 — so our guest faculty “sharks” (W.J. Rossi and Brent Beachy) can have them to review well in advance of the verbal presentations on 2/8.

Assignment outline  – and the judging sheet – is attached here again for you. Sending you all good vibes as you hit the final stretch of your EAGL journey!
