Good morning folks!
I promised you a strategy “preamble” (see below) that provides a preview of some of the topics we will be discussing at the Strategy Session in Minneapolis and you can view it below. One of the main points I make at the beginning of the video is that everything we do does one of two things — either creates value or destroys value. Obviously, creating value is our emphasis during our entire EAGL journey.
For this week, I’d like for you to take a look at the first two articles in the Strategy Library entitled “A Playbook for Strategy” and “What is Strategy?” (the download buttons are orange). Just a word of caution — Do not read these as though you’re trying to memorize all the concepts discussed in order take an academic exam, but instead, enjoy them and read them from a practitioner point of view. Let them marinate around in your brain a bit to see if any applications to your own business come to mind.
Next Friday, I will be online at 10:00 am Central time to answer any questions you may have about the readings or any other topic you’d like to discuss (the Zoom link = https://tamu.zoom.us/j/4316679917). There is not a mandatory meeting so no worries if you can’t make it. I will record the session and post the link here in the forum.
