Hey hey EAGL Nu cohort:  it was great to ‘meet’ you today! I look forward to getting to know you all a lot better in the coming months!   As I mentioned, my primary role on the faculty team is to ensure you have everything you need logistically to participate fully.  Here’s a helpful checklist of things to get you through the next steps between now and June 25:

• All reading materials, videos and forum discussions will be available at our EAGLNetwork.com Nu dashboard home (and notifications will be pushed out to you via email):

(SIDE NOTE: if you’re not currently using a master password manager – we strongly recommend getting one to preserve your sanity and data security!  Both Charlie and I have historically used LASTPASS, and I’m converting over to 1Password … but there are certainly others out there –Keeper, Dashlane, etc.)  We hosted an EAGL Alumni session on cybersecurity a few years back, this was a strong recommendation.)

Finally – when you have 45 minutes of uninterrupted time between now and June 18, please take the CliftonStrengths Assessment. There’s a link below to follow.

(You’ll be asked to CREATE AN ACCOUNT with Gallup to take the assessment.) The assessment is a series of paired statements that will ask you to react on a sliding scale to each statement. The assessment auto-advances after each pair in 20 seconds – you cannot pause or go back. This is intentional – the goal is for you to “go with your gut” and not over-think each response.

Note: uninterrupted time is important. Put your phone in a drawer, put a sign on your office door – whatever you need to focus exclusively on this. Assessment is best done when you’re “fresh” or at your most relaxed.

PLEASE COMPLETE ASSESSMENT BY JUNE 18.  (Note: if you’ve already done the assessment (Brad for sure, and maybe a few others?) — you don’t need to recomplete, just forward me the results. (Brad – I have yours!)  

OTHER HOMEWORK:   Remember there are 3 Primer / preamble videos for you to watch in the Nu Session Materials tab, PLUS a series of readings in the STRATEGY LIBRARY.  Some readings are ‘read in full’ – others are peruse casually.  Charlie will coach you via email week-to-week on readings he wants you to focus on.

 Strongly recommend starting a folder within your own file structure to download documents. Some people are still “print and put in binders” people – others are more nimble and prefer online reading. Totally up to you how you prefer to learn!
